Profound Thoughts On Democracy

I’m currently reading “Dialogue and the Art of Thinking Together” by William Isaacs.
This is a very, very powerful book. Notably, in the introduction, Isaacs shares the following:

“The capacity for talking together constituted the foundation for democracy, far more fundamental than voting. As one ancient Greek philosopher noted, ‘When voting started, democracy ended.’”

After reading this, all of a sudden, I could see.
